CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: Personal Experience & Public Interest
This entire website documents the **personal, subjective experience, and opinion** of the user with a specific real estate investment in Lahore, Pakistan, marketed by Zameen.com, which resulted in a significant financial loss. The content, including the claims of financial figures and names, is published strictly for **consumer awareness** and is intended to be a truthful account of the author's business transaction and perspective. The sole objective is to provide cautionary information to the public based on the author's own unfortunate encounter. This site is not intended to defame or maliciously harm any individual or entity but to provide public awareness.
I am an overseas Pakistani I.T. Professional, living in Turkey and working in a software company as marketing manager from last 5 years.
I was contacted by Zameen.com marketing persons over and over and gave me random offers about the projects for investment. A person Imran Akbar who was marketing executive of zameen.com and was working under the supervison of Shaheen Abbas and their marketing director Mr. Laeeq, was continuously contacted with me about a safest investment with zameen.com guarantee. The offer was attractive. The return on investment was 11% yearly as a rent until the project finishes.
In NOV-2022, I decided to invest a significant sum in a real estate project in Lahore at MM-Alam Road through zameen.com. My decision to proceed was based **solely on the assurances and reputable market presence of Zameen.com**, who marketed the project and guaranteed the completion of the project. I did not know the contractor; I placed my trust entirely in the Zameen.com brand.
I sold my 1 kanal plot in lahore at lower rate and invested in two shops with the sum of Rs. 40 million cash delivered to zameen.com persons. Three persons came to collect the cash:
1) Imran Akbar
2) Shaheen Abbas
3) Moin Shah.
They collected the cash and delivered me the receipts and ensured me that zameen.com is responsible for your investment. They got signed a contract for me mentioning that century ventures will build the project and deliver to you within speculated timeframe and meanwhile zameen.com will ensure progress on project and 11% rent per month be delivered to you on timely fashion.
The company complied with this obligation until November 2023 but defaulted on rental payments from December 2023 onward until today.
This is my social responsibility to make everyone aware of the trouble I faced and the loss I bear including financial loss and mental disturbance to prevent others from this devistating experience. I will provide awareness to every Pakistani living in Pakistan and Overseas by website posts, forum posts, social media, emails and messages until it reaches everyone looking for investment in Pakistan so that they can be careful in choosing the realestate company before they decide to invest their hard earned money in Pakistan and beware of marketing traps. I also require zameen.com to take back my files and return my invested capital including the pending rents.
**NOTE:** These are the invoices that I paid to zameen.com on behalf of the contractor they sold me to.
Three Zameen.com employees, personally collected cash payments from me for this investment. Two have since resigned. I personally met the above director, but got only hope and unlimited wait.

Exercise extreme caution before placing your investment in projects or companies in Pakistan that promise unusually attractive returns like zameen.com. These entities often employ aggressive marketing tactics and paint a picture of success that may never materialize like in my case. Be vigilant and do not fall for these marketing traps. Many of these companies incentivize their sales teams with high targets and low wages like I mentioned before, leading them to use high-pressure tactics, exaggerations, and false hopes to secure a sale. Once the investment is complete, these executives frequently disappear as in my case, and the company may disclaim any responsibility for their verbal promises which I experieced while investing with zameen.com. Crucially, they protect themselves legally: detailed legal clauses and disclaimers are often embedded in the fine print of contracts and forms. While these are presented as mere "formalities," they are specifically designed to shield the company's interests and negate any unwritten commitments made during the sales process.

I earnestly request the Government of Pakistan and all relevant regulatory authorities to take firm and immediate action against the growing menace of real estate scams that continue to exploit the hard-earned savings of Pakistani citizens, especially those working abroad. Thousands of overseas Pakistanis invest their lifelong earnings in the hope of contributing to the country’s growth and securing their families’ future, only to be deceived by marketing companies that sell people like me to fraudulent developers and that deliver nothing in return. It is crucial that the government strengthens oversight, enforces accountability, and ensures justice for victim like me who have suffered financial and emotional losses due to such unethical practices. Protecting honest investors is not only a matter of fairness — it is a matter of national integrity and trust.
